Florida Winters

These ugly ducks live at the pond across our street and they have 0 fear of humans. They will walk right up to you, demanding food or else nibbling on your flip flops.

Gotta love shorts in January

I know I have been a terrible blogger lately. I could blame it on exhaustion, the fact that I worked all weekend, the fact that my camera battery was dead for 3 days, or the fact that the Hunger Games series has so consumed my life that I barely have the free time to talk to hubs, let alone blog. But I’ll place the blame on where it really belongs-my laziness to actually sit down and think about what to write. I know this happens to all bloggers, at some point or other, and you just have to push through it and continue blogging while hoping that inspiration hits soon.

Until then, hubs and I are fully enjoying winter in Florida. This is the time of the year, when the patio door is open 24/7 and the cool breeze blows in, that I cannot imagine living anywhere else. Florida winters are perfection. Low humidity, warm sun, blue skies, and when that gets old, a perfect, chilly 60 degree day will be thrown in the mix so we can pull on our jeans and sweatshirts and talk about how cold it is outside. Now if only this weather could last forever.

I’m enjoying a blissful day off after spending a crazy weekend working in the Pediatric ER. And although I would like nothing more than to sit on our patio glider, swinging in the warm breeze and finally finishing my book, I’m determined to be somewhat productive so husband can come home to a clean house and a home cooked meal. Let’s see if it happens.

Happy Monday!
