Well noodle surprised us all and decided to be a girl! We couldn’t be more thrilled! Of course our baby girl is stubborn (like her father, of course) and decided not to show us her goods until 5 minutes before my hour long ultra sound was complete. Way to keep us in suspense, baby girl. There I was, my heart beating like crazy the ENTIRE time while the ultra sound tech continuously stabbed at my uterus with the ultra sound probe, trying in vain to get baby to move. She did not succeed in moving baby, but she did, however, succeed at bruising my lower abdomen quite well.
Luckily, after a quick break at the end of the scan where I drank an apple juice, lied on my left side for 10 minutes, did 10 jumping jacks, and went to the bathroom, where baby received a stern talking to, noodle obliged by performing a short, but impressive, series of kicks and letting us get a good look down there. I debated posting her “it’s a girl!!” ultra sound picture the tech was nice enough to print us, but then I realized our modest noodle may not want a picture of her lady area posted on the internet for all of time.
Afterwards hubs and I drove straight to the store, where the plan was to pick out one outfit each for baby girl. Hubs ended up picking out 2 and I picked out 4. Hey, no one said we were decisive. And besides, there are wayyy too many cute options out there to only pick 1 outfit. But knowing my mom and sisters, this kid’s going to have a bigger wardrobe than I do before she’s even born, so I’m not too worried.
We can’t wait to meet you sweet baby girl!
