33 weeks and Happy 4th of July!

Total weight gain: 26 lbs
Baby’s hear beat: 156 bpm at yesterday’s appointment
Baby is now the size of: A durian fruit. What is that??? She is weighing in at over 4 1/2 lbs and is close to 18 inches long.
Biggest craving this week: Pineapple. Yum! And ice cream….like always.
How I’m Feeling: Tired. Tired. Tired. (Perfect example: I just now woke up from an hour nap. And by “woke up” I mean woken up by hubs asking “Are you going to wake up now?” If it was up to me I would have slept through the night…) Work is just draining me! Monday I had the day off and so I attempted to be all active and I went for a 3 mile walk and I seriously could have taken a 2 hour nap after I was done. Minus the exhaustion I’ve been feeling pretty good! I can tell baby is hanging low already, which puts some strain on my pelvic bone, but besides that I’ve had very little discomfort. I am getting so excited and I feel like her due date is right around the corner!!
How clothes fit: The other day I told Brett that I think I crossed over the line to where pregnancy is no longer cute. When I was 20-30 weeks I felt like my bump was so adorable and looked so cute in everything I put on. Now, as I tug a too tight shirt over my belly, I look in the mirror and think, “Yup, you are just looking hugely pregnant.” Good-bye cute clothes days…..
Movement: Sometimes I am truly amazed by how much this child can move. I’ll feel the sharp jab of her foot in my side and I’ll think in amazement, “How are you all the way over there?! You’re practically to my back!” She is getting big, that’s for sure. I love, love, love, when she stretches and sticks her little bum high up. It makes my stomach morph into a sharp peak and I love to pat her bum until she puts it back down.
Random: Funny story for this week. So over the weekend we had a group come to the hospital to hand out gifts to our patients. One of the ladies who came was in her late 60’s-early 70’s and when I went down to meet them she IMMEDIATELY put her hand on my stomach and said, “It’s a girl.” Now, I was surprised because everyone who looks at me automatically assumes I’m having a boy for whatever reason, but I wasn’t too impressed, I just smiled and said, “I am!” Then, with her hand still on my stomach she said, “And your due date is between August 15th-17th?” Now I was impressed because she was pretty much dead on and I told her, yes, my due date was the 17th. She looked at me, smiled, and said, “But she’ll come on the 11th! I can tell by your daughter’s glow.” So apparently noodle is glowing and she is going to come about a week early. Which funny enough, COULD happen because she’s been measuring almost a week ahead. I just smiled and laughed a little, but later told Brett that I would be slightly creeped out (but highly impressed) if this lady turns out to be right!!
Looking forward to: My baby shower in a few weeks!!!
