This was our first weekend alone as a family of three and I have to say, it was a pretty good weekend indeed. Brett and I are dreaming of buying a house this coming year if possible. We love the house we are currently renting, with its tall wood beam ceilings and large outdoor patio and pool, but we are more than ready to own a house so we can fix it up and make it our own! So Saturday hubs, noodle and I ventured to an open house in a cute neighborhood we like. Only problem was, this house was one ratty pillow away from being on an episode of Hoarders. As hubs eloquently put it, “The houses on Hoarders make me want to throw up, this house just makes me want to gag.” On a gag scale of 1-10 we gave it about a 7. A few more gags and we would be in full on throw up territory. And let’s not even get into the horribleness of the real estate agent putting on the open house. I’m sorry, but we can all see the owner has turned, what would be a cute house, into a total dump so you better put on a smile and sell the crap out of this place. Oh no? You would rather stand there looking embarrassed and confused? Well then, good luck to you.
The rest of the weekend was perfect. Saturday night movie, Sunday morning waffles, a trip to the Farmer’s Market, and tons and tons and TONS of baby snuggles. And let’s not forget to mention Leah deciding to show off her amazing sleeping abilities and sleeping 7 hours straight last night. Deciding to sleep through the night at 3 weeks? I’ll take it.
